The Herman Miller company has existed for more than 100 years. The company attaches great importance to matters such as the environment and designs that are completely or to a large extent recyclable. Herman Miller focuses on modern furniture, the word "Modern" and the name "Herman Miller" were actually synonymous in the middle of the twentieth century.
Herman Miller is a design brand and focuses on work desks and office chairs. Herman Miller mainly focuses on adapted sitting options, especially in office environments, this furniture is often used. Ergonomic sitting and working methods are very important for good posture and the best comfort.
Since the fifties, manufacturer Herman Miller has been working with world-renowned designers such as Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson. Design chairs that were designed around the fifties are today very modern. Over the years, more and more top designers joined Herman Miller. Beautiful design furniture was created, such as the Eames Lounge Chair, the molded plywood chairs (but also the well-known office chairs Aeron chairs, and the Mirra and Mirra 2. All these models are world-famous. The ergonomic desk Sense is also well known.

Don Chadwick - Aeron Chair (Aeron Office Chair)Don Chadwick was among other things the designer of the "Aeron Chair". This chair offers good support for the body and has a lot of comfort. Robert Propst designed the "Action Office" and in 1964 it was taken into production for the first time. This desk was particularly suitable for the smaller offices. The Action Office was too expensive and difficult to assemble but despite these flaws, Robert Props won the Alcoa Award with this design
Bill Stumpf was the designers of the "Ergon Chair", this was in 1976. It was the first ergonomic chair. Suitable for office buildings.
Isamu Noguchi designed the "Coffee Table" in 1947. However, in 1984 this design was released again. The Coffee Table was a beautifully designed table with a glass top. The motto of Isama Noguchi was that his designs should be one with the space in which they stand.
Alexander Girard won many awards as a designer throughout his career. Herman Miller focused on making textiles and working on them in the beginning of his career. Alexander Girard became director of that part of the company in 1952.
Herman Miller was very focused on making products that could eventually be recycled again. The materials were therefore of recyclable materials. He applied the Cradle to Cradle philosophy to the entire design and production process. A large part of Herman Miller's Cradle to Cradle collection have a silver or gold certificate.

The Cradle to Cradle Swivel chair Mirra 2 meets Herman Miller's extensive DfE (Design for the Environment) protocol, the sustainability protocol. The Cradle to Cradle Swivel chair Mirra 2 also has the MBDC Cradle to Cradle Silver certificate. The chair is 93% recyclable.
The Cradle to Cradle office chair Aeron is a comfortable chair that consists of 66% recycled material. The frame is made of polymer and the base of the chair is made of aluminum.
The Cradle to Cradle office chair SAYL, like the Cradle to Cradle office chair Mirra 2, meets the extensive DfE protocol from Herman Miller. And also has the certificate MBDC Cradle to Cradle Silver. This chair is 90% recyclable.
The Cradle to Cradle Swivel office chair has the Silver certificate MBDC Cradle to Cradle. The goal in making this chair was to minimize the impact on the environment and we succeeded.
The Cradle to Cradle office chair Celle is 100 free of PVC. The chair is made of 33% recycled material and is ultimately 99% recyclable.
